After a relapse
A relapse isn't the end. It's information about what you still need.
Many people who recover for good relapsed once or more along the way. A relapse doesn't mean you failed or that it was all for nothing. What you learned is still yours.
The most dangerous thing after a relapse is the thought: now it doesn't matter anyway. Then once becomes a week or a month. Stop as soon as possible and tell someone.
Then look back calmly. What happened right before? How did you feel? What warning signs were there? What could have helped? Adjust your plan with what you know now.
Be kind to yourself. Shame makes another relapse more likely. Just start again, today.
