The pink cloud

After a few weeks you may feel amazing. Enjoy it, but stay alert.

Many people suddenly feel very good a few weeks after stopping. They sleep better, have energy and feel proud. This is sometimes called the pink cloud. It's a lovely phase and you're allowed to enjoy it.

The risk is thinking you've made it. You go to your group less, skip your morning check-in or think you could have just one. That's when you're vulnerable.

The pink cloud fades after a while. Ordinary life returns, with its ordinary problems. That's not a sign things are getting worse, but that you're entering a new phase.

Use this good period to strengthen your foundation: a steady daily routine, support around you and a plan for when things get harder.
